The training offered in the Doctoral Program "Defence and Internal Security" is given by high-level speakers from the academic world as well as by recognized experts active in the forces.

  • Captain Yves Auffret: Doctor in Political Science.
    Yves Auffret has been teaching international relations and political science at the Ecole de l'Air since 2015, at both Bachelor and Master's level, notably to students in the "Public Management" and "Political Science" courses. He is in charge of the DU "Defence actors and security studies" (EA-AMU IMPGT) and is the methodology referent of the EA "Political Sciences" curriculum. His areas of interest in international relations are more particularly critical security studies and cybersecurity.

  • General David Galtier: French Army General of the National Gendarmerie, where he was Inspector General of the Armed Forces-Gendarmerie between September 1, 2017 and January 1, 2019. He is a graduate of the Saint-Cyr Special Military School (General Lasalle class) and the Collège interarmées de Défense. He was auditor of the 54th session of the Centre des Hautes Etudes Militaires and the 57th session of the Hautes Etudes de la Défense Nationale. David Galtier retired on December 14th, 2018 after 40 years of service.
